Subtle Body

Saturday 6 September
2.30-4.30pm at Hwyl Studio

Dive underneath words and language to explore the felt-sense of your breath and movement practice.

We’ll awaken our interoceptive and proprioceptive awareness, cultivating tools to move from our organs as a method for finding new pathways in familiar asana.

How does it feel to trace your awareness through the heart meridian in dancer's pose or initiate movement in a flow from your lungs?

Weaving together theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Body Mind Centering and Katonah Yoga, we’ll map out approaches to sequencing through an enquiry-led lens.

A workshop for curious teachers and students looking to cultivate tools for feeling into the subtle energies of the body.

Sprial Bones

Sunday 5 October
3-5pm at Yoga House

The body is made of undulating curves and waves. Join me in an exploration of the spiralling nature of our bones.

The session will begin with an overview of our embryological unfolding – experiencing the body as origami through the expanding and condensing nature of ourselves and cells.

We’ll delve into patterns inspired by developmental movement, body-mind centering, Katonah Yoga and somatic enquiry.

Using our body as a laboratory for felt-sense research, this workshop is for curious students and teachers seeking to awaken their asana practice beyond prescribed alignment.

Breathing Space

Saturday 19 July 2-4pm at Yoga House

Our breath is a container for our experience, our body is a vessel for life moving through. Join Kelly for an afternoon exploring the magic of our breath beyond an automatic process. We’ll dive into how and what happens when we breathe, and unravel the ongoing dialogue between our breath and nervous systems.

The session will include how we can play with different practices to shift how we feel, from up-regulating kriya and pranayama to down-regulating and soothing breath. We’ll explore ways of weaving breath into asana practice and how this can open up our experience or invite new routes of enquiry. There will be space for reflection and testing things out in our own bodies, before a guided slow flow incorporating elements explored.

Through resting our awareness on the unconscious, we’re able to expand our experience of being.

A workshop for breath-loving students developing a home practice or teachers seeking to share accessible pranayama.
